Welcome into one of the most stupid "debates" in our times:
Should Cannabis be legal?
Forgive my candor but it is a stupid debate and I shall explain why:
All sides know that is not a health issue, otherwise alcohol, tobacco and maybe even fast food would also be illegal. So the argument of the government doing it for the "health" of the affected is preposterous; the means used for the keeping of the prohibition policies are more harmful for the health of users and non users.
Almost 5 years ago I was enjoying a holiday in the Netherlands when it came to my mind: Why not open a coffee shop? It seems like a fine and honest buissness, right? Wrong! In fact i found out, that given my nationality, if i were to start a cannabis enterprise I would din fact turn into an international criminal! Or more specifically an international Drug Dealer!
The reality came to be that, if i sold marijuana it was okay but, if i bought it I would be a permanent criminal!.
So in my heartbreak, I decided to do a documentary instead. Inspired by the master Jean Luc Godard´s film Bande à part (A Band of Outsiders); I decided to do an uncomfortable documentary on a very lame subject.
This documentary is without any funds, meaning that i merely grabbed my camera and went on a search of interesting and valid opinions in what I find a very stupid subject: marihuana prohibition,
